What to expect

When you visit with us at the Westside church you will be greeted at the door and welcomed to our assembly. You may sit anywhere in the auditorium you feel comfortable, (there is no assigned seating).

If you come for Bible study we assemble together before classes begin for a song and prayer then we are dismissed to our classes. The adults meet in the auditorium and there are classes available for all ages.

In our worship services, Sunday morning and evening we engage ourselves in…

Singing – We sing praises to God and edify one another in psalms, hymns, andspiritual songs by making melody in our hearts to the Lord. (Ephesians 5:19)

The Lord's Supper - Communion with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is forremembering His death on the cruel cross. When we partake of the loaf and the fruit of the vine, we are remembering His suffering and death until he comes again. Participating in the Lord’s Supper reminds us of His unselfish love and sacrifice for the sin of the world.

Giving – Our giving at Westside is a voluntary, free will offering from our members to God in order to support the ministries that serve Him here and in various parts of the world. All members are encouraged to give as having beenprospered. We do not solicit contribution from visitors.

Bible Study – We are committed to the Bible as God’s communication to man concerning salvation, family life, relationships, business, and every dimension of human experience. Our sermon messages and Bible classes are for teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that all who will hear and obey may become not only God’s child, but form a way of life to enable everyone to obtain victory over the world. They also are specifically designed to edify and encourage everyone to live a joyful life everyday.

Prayer – We believe in the power of prayer and engage ourselves in prayer before during and after each of our assemblies. Our prayers are offered to God through Jesus Christ and are accomplished in an orderly manner as God has commanded (1Corintians 14:40).

You may be asked to fill out a visitor’s card so that we can send you a thank you card and so that you can ask questions or make comments about our worship, teachings and work.
